What is the difference between all of the mount types you offer?Surface Mounted: Our surface mounted or wall mounted medicine cabinets are installed onto the finished wall. These cabinets have a unique mounting system. Surface mounting brackets are used on an integral track located above and below the medicine cabinet. Each cabinet comes with wood screws for installation. Additional hardware may be needed for your application. Please refer to our current catalog to see the mounting types available within each series. Recessed Mounted: Our recessed medicine cabinets are installed into the rough wall opening. Each cabinet has a 1" flange to cover the rough wall opening to provide a finished look. These cabinets have mounting holes pre drilled into the sides of the cabinet to be mounted in between the studs. Each cabinet comes with wood screws for installation. Partially Recessed: Partially recessed cabinets have a slight projection into the room. This projection is slightly deeper than it's fully recessed counterpart. These cabinets project 1 1/4" into the room, and is exclusive to our Fully Recessed: Our Fully Recessed medicine cabinets are installed into the rough wall opening with only the thickness of the mirror door protruding into the room. With this installation you will not be able to see the body of the cabinet. Fully recessed cabinets have a shorter projection into the room compared to it's partially recessed counterpart. These cabinets project 1" into the room, and is exclusive to our Tri-View Series. These cabinets have mounting holes pre drilled into the sides of the cabinet to be mounted in between the studs. Each cabinet comes with wood screws for installation. Flush Mounted: Our Flush Mounted medicine cabinets are installed into the rough wall opening with only the thickness of the mirror on the wall. With this installation it will give the impression that there is only a standard mirror on the wall. Our Flush Mounted cabinets have the shortest projection of 1/4" into the room. Flush mounted models come available in our Euroline Series and Euroline II Series medicine cabinets. These cabinets are equipped with a magnetic touch latch. Mounting holes are pre drilled into the sides of the cabinet to be mounted in between the studs. Each cabinet comes with wood screws for installation.

Will the humidity in my bathroom impact the medicine cabinet's mirror(s)?The mirror is set in vinyl glazing tape and can only come apart from the cabinet if it is super heated in the factory. The humidity will have no impact on the mirror.

What is electro-copper?Electro copper is a fire-retardant glazing consisting of a number of individual panes of glass which are separated by strips of electrically welded copper.

Can I turn off the touch sensor light when my 'Plus' series LED mirror is not in use?No, the touch sensors stay illuminated when the mirror is not in use. If the mirror is hardwired to a light switch (not recommended) , you could turn off the light switch and that would shut off all power to the unit.

How does the defogging feature work on my new 'Plus' series LED mirror?By activating the anti-fog system, this technology warms the mirror and prevents condensation to build up on the mirror. Note: 'Plus' models purchased *after* November 2021 feature a separate touch sensor to activate the defogging system. 'Plus' models purchased *before* November 2021 feature an automatic defogging system when the unit is turned on.

What does hardwired mean?Hard-wired means the electrical cable comes furnished with the product and is physically connected or wired into the household wiring.

Are the lights replaceable on my LED mirror?The LED light strips built into the mirror are guaranteed to last for a period of 10 years or 50,000 hours after the purchase date, whichever instance happens first. If only a few of the LED bulbs on the strip burn out, there will be no visible difference to the consumer. In the event that the whole strip burns out and it is past our 10 year / 50,000 hour warranty, the entire unit must be replaced. Refer to our product care and warranty document for additional information.

Are your mirrors JA8 compliant?JA8 is mainly for LED lamp products, not for our mirror products. Mirror manufacturers don't have such a certification.
